Hand Sewn Patchwork Statement Brooch

This is a pretty big brooch! The padded section is 7 x 5cm and the total length from the pin to the tips of the charms is 10cm.

I've used a selection of tiny fabric scraps, ribbons, buttons and charms to create this brooch in various patchwork techniques and embroidery stitches. It has a sewing theme with english paper piecing and sewing charms including a hand wound mini bobbin and a thimble with assorted buttons and the whole piece hangs on a bronze kilt pin.
