Patchwork Square Padded Brooch.

I've made these cute brooches using spent plastic gift cards as a base. All my fabrics are either recycled or leftover scraps saved for me by stitchy friends. My threads are also leftovers collected by the ladies of Airedale branch of The Embroider's Guild.

Pieced by hand and embroidered with cretan and blanket stitches, stuffed to make a pad and finished with a button in the centre.

4.5cm square, these two are in shades of orange with a mod flower print and have some extra stitching on one quarter, great on your lapel or shirt.
